Utah COVID-19 update: 2 more deaths, 462 new cases confirmed in past day

⁶UTAH, Feb. 15, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Monday reported two more COVID-19 deaths and 462 new cases in the past 24 hours.

That brings the total of known cases in Utah to 361,756 and deaths to 1,796.

The two whose deaths were reported were:

  • A male, between 65-84, Weber County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • A male, between 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccinations administered number 525,033, which is 1,033 more than yesterday.

People tested for coronavirus number 2,125,510, an increase of 3,133 people tested since yesterday. Tests administered number 3,601,122, an increase of 6,644 tests since yesterday.

The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 14.1%%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 6.4%. The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 951 per day.

There are 274 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 14,209.
