Utah COVID-19 update: 223 new cases, nearly 11K more vaccinations, no more deaths in past day

UTAH, June 6, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Sunday reported 223 new COVID-19 cases, nearly 11,000 more vaccinations, and no additional deaths documented in the past day.

Total Utah cases now stand at 407,642.

Documented deaths from coronavirus here remain at 2,311.

Vaccinations given number 2,646,455, an increase of 10,983 since Saturday.

Vaccine administrations by all providers, sorted by patient residence

 

People tested in Utah for COVID-19 number 2,713,252, an increase of 3,233 in the past day.

Tests administered number 4,962,525, an increase of 5,186 tests since Saturday’s numbers were released.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 232 per day.

The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 5.7%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 3.7%.

There are 129 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 16,935.
