UTAH, July 2, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Thursday reported three more COVID-19 deaths and 554 new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.
Those who died are:
- A Salt Lake County man between age 25 and 44, not hospitalized at the time of death
- A Salt Lake County man between the age of 65 and 84, not hospitalized at the time of death
- A Cache County man between the ages of 65 and 84, hospitalized at the time of death
The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths now stands at 176.
Positive cases now stand at 23,270, an increase of 554 from yesterday, a daily rate increase of 2.4%.
Lab tests performed number 346,386 total tests, an increase of 3,028 tests from Wednesday’s report. The rate of positive tests is 6.7% of total tested.
More numbers
Hospitalizations number 1,505 cases, an increase of 29 since Wednesday. There are 184 COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized.
Those categorized as recovered, defined as those still living three weeks after diagnosis, number 13,076.
