UTAH, Feb. 1, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Monday reported three more COVID-19 deaths and 584 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours, which is 610 fewer cases than Sunday’s number of 1,194.
Positive cases now stand at 347,208, and cumulative Utah deaths number 1,668.
The three who died were:
- A male, between 45-64, Box Elder county resident, long-term care facility resident
- A male, between 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
Vaccines administered in Utah now number 311,785, with 1,093 given in the past 24 hours.
Lab tests given in Utah number 2,028,163, with 3,516 people tested since yesterday.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 1,425 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 16.7%.
There are 402 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 13,515.
