Utah COVID-19 update: 306 new cases, no more deaths

UTAH, June 5, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Saturday reported 306 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths in the past day.

Cases now stand at 407,419 since the beginning of the pandemic. Deaths remain at 2,311.

A total of 2,710,029 people have been tested for the virus, and increase of 3,895 since Friday.

Tests administered number 4,957,339, an increase of 6,609 in the past 24 hours.

The UDoH reports 2,635,472 vaccines administered, which is 12,574 more than Friday.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 225 per day.

The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 6.1%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 3.8%.

There are 140 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 16,927.
