UTAH, May 20, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Thursday reported four COVID-19 deaths and 266 new cases documented in the past day.
That brings positive cases in Utah to 403,684, and known deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 2,279.
The four who died were:
- A male, older than 85, Weber County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, between 25-44, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, between 65-84, Summit County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, between 45-64, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
Lab tests administered number 4,848,277, an increase of 9,128 tests since Wednesday. People tested number 2,653,810, an increase of 4,445 since Wedesday’s numbers were reported.
Vaccinations administered total 2,464,088 , which is 19,236 more than yesterday.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 291 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 6.3%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 3.4%.
There are 139 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 16,615.
