UTAH, Dec. 28, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Monday reported five more people dead of COVID-19 and 1,716 new cases documented in the past 24 hours.
Utah’s lab confirmed COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic now stand at 266,590.
Utah’s death toll numbers 1,219.
Those whose deaths were reported were:
- A female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- A female, between 45-64, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A female, between 45-64, Davis County resident, long-term care facility resident
- A male, between 65-84, Duchesne County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A female, older than 85, Washington County resident, long-term care facility resident
Vaccine doses administered in Utah number 17,543.
To date, 1,698,105 COVID-19 tests have been administered. That’s an increase of 4,976 since Sunday.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 1,969 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 24.4%.
There are 498 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 10,643.
