Utah COVID-19 update: 530 new cases in past day, no new deaths

UTAH, April 14, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Wednesday reported 530 new cases of COVID-19 documented in the past 24 hours, and no more deaths.

That brings know coronavirus cases in the state to 391,177; documented deaths from the virus remain at 2,161.

A total of 1,768,246 vaccines have been administered, which is 30,243 more than yesterday.

Lab tests have been given to 2,463,704 people, which is an increase of 8,155 since yesterday. Total tests administered number 4,414,970, an increase of 19,832 tests since yesterday.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 394 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 7.7%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 3.8%.

There are 148 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 15,838.
