Utah GOP Hires New Executive Director

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – September 8, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The Utah Republican Party announced today the hiring of Bryan Smith as its new Executive Director. Bryan will be replacing Julian Babbitt who has taken a job as the executive director of the Orange County Republican Party in California.

“Bryan is a dedicated leader who will complement the existing talent in our party’s organization. His background in both the private sector and state politics will help ensure the advancement of Republican ideals and our continued success as a party,” said Utah Republican Party Chairman James Evans.

“I am honored to join the incredible team at the Utah Republican Party.  I look forward to working alongside Republicans throughout the state in strengthening our party and inviting all citizens to join us in working together for a better Utah,” said Smith.

Smith was born and raised in Utah and lives in Salt Lake City with his a wife and two children. He has worked at the Utah State Legislature, for Republican organizations across the country, and most recently in the private sector as a director of political marketing.
