EPHRAIM, Utah, Oct. 22, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol officials have identified a 46-year-old man killed Monday afternoon the motorcycle he was riding struck a car head-on in Ephraim.

The deceased motorcycle rider is Jody Brown, of Ephraim, said a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred on Ephraim Canyon Road just before 5:35 p.m., the news release said.

“A 2016 Suzuki motorcycle was headed up Ephraim Canyon Road at a high rate of speed,” the news release said. “The road curves to the right and the motorcycle crossed over the center line and struck a 2012 Toyota Camry that was coming down the canyon head-on.”

The driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet but suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from UHP; the latter agency is handling the investigation.
