2 dead after car-truck collision in Juab County

JUAB COUNTY, Utah, April 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene of a double-fatal crash on State Route 132 just southwest of Nephi in Juab County Wednesday morning.

A tweet from UHP said the incident occurred on SR-132 at mile marker 14 at approximately 9 a.m.

“A passenger car with three occupants hit a service truck,” the tweet said. “The front-seated occupants of the car are deceased.”

The child riding in a car seat in the back seat was flown by medical helicopter to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, and is expected to survive.

SR-132 was closed in both directions during the investigation.

The two deceased individuals have not yet been identified.
