The Utah Jazz have reportedly signed Jerrelle Benimon to a 10-day contract with the team. Benimon was picked up from the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League, which is now a direct affiliate with the Jazz.

The 23-year-old forward from Warrenton, Virginia stands at six feet eight inches tall and 245 pounds averaging 16.6 points per game, 10.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists. Benimon is shooting 62.4 percent from the floor this season.

Benimon is the seventh player to be called up from the D-League this season and the 18th called up in Utah Jazz history.

It has not been said as if Benimon will see the court this evening. However, he will be in the Jazz Uniform #22 as they take on the Philadelphia 76ers hoping to get a win on the third stop of their four-game road trip and especially after a heartbreaking loss in Boston due to a buzzer-beater game winning shot by Tyler Zeller.

Financial details regarding Benimon have yet to be released, but the forward will spend ten days with the Jazz. Benimon spent some time with the Denver Nuggets during training camp and six preseason games this season that later lead to him being waived from the team on Oct. 22.

Benimon spent two seasons playing basketball at Georgetown University later transferring to Towsen University in Maryland. He entered the 2014 NBA draft but was not selected. During his time with the D-League he was named to the 2015 NBA D-League All-Star Team and to the Honorable Mention All-Star Showcase this season. He is ninth in the D-League for scoring and sixth for rebounds.
