OGDEN, Feb. 3, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A Utah man is in jail, charged with enticing a minor, after officials say he went online and tried to solicit sex from someone he believed to be a 13-year-old boy.

In fact, suspect John Robert Warren, 55, allegedly was communicating with an undercover FBI agent, according to a probable cause statement filed in the case.

“Throughout the course of the conversation, the suspect, later identified as John Robert Warren, arranged to travel to a location in Ogden, UT, to meet with what he believed to be a 13-year-old boy, for sexual purposes,” the probable cause statement says.

In one conversation, when Warrant was conversing online with the agent’s persona, Warren suggested a specific sexual act, then added … “Do u kiss … i like to kiss,” the statement says.

“Warren traveled to a prearranged location where he was taken into custody,” the statement says. “Warren elected to make a statement during his interview with law enforcement. Warren stated that his intent in meeting with the agent’s online persona was to engage in sexual activity.”

Warren remained in Weber County Jail as of Saturday. The charge against him, to entice, solicit, seduce or lure a minor by Internet or text, is a second-degree felony.
