PROVO CANYON – September 13, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A 69-year-old man died in Provo Canyon Sunday afternoon after losing control of a motorcycle.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, Aurthur B. Lafeber was traveling northbound on SR-189 near mile marker 15 around 1 p.m., when for some reason he lost control of his 2008 Harley Davidson and collided with the center guardrail.
Lafeber was thrown off his motorcycle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
It does not appear speed or alcohol are being considered as a cause of the crash.
