TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, April 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah National Guard has explained the booms heard at Tooele Army Depot Monday morning.

“We’ve had many questions about the booms/shaking in the area,” the National Guard tweeted early afternoon. “Tooele Army Depot has confirmed they carried out controlled detonations at their south range around 11 a.m. this morning.”

The depot is a United States Army post in Tooele County.

The tweet added: “We can safely rule out Russia and extraterrestrial aliens as possible culprits.”
