Oct. 7, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Former Miss Utah Temple Taggart McDowell shared her concerns about Donald Trump’s over-familiarity with women months before Friday’s revelation of a tape that recorded Trump’s lewd comments in 2005.

According to a New York Times article that ran on May 14 of this year, Trump, who in 1997 was the new owner of the Miss USA pageant, made unwanted advances on contestants.

McDowell was 21 at the time.

“He kissed me directly on the lips,” McDowell told The New York Times. “I thought, ‘Oh my God, gross.’ He was married to Marla Maples at the time. I think there were a few other girls that he kissed on the mouth. I was like, ‘Wow, that’s inappropriate.'”

Trump made the comments revealed on Friday in 2005 while preparing for an interview with Billy Bush, then a host on “Access Hollywood,” now a host on NBC’s “Today” show.

Bush and Trump were on a bus, and were preparing to do an interview about Trump’s cameo on a soap opera. The Washington Post obtained the video, and broke the story on Friday.

Trump talked about groping women, kissing them, and trying to have sex with them, bragging, “… when you’re a star, they let you do it,” according to a video obtained by The Washington Post.

“Grab them by the p***y,” Trump is heard saying. “You can do anything.”

Trump discussed a woman who he tried and failed to seduce.

“I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it,” Trump can be heard saying. The video was recorded several months after he married his third wife, Melania.

“I did try and f*** her. She was married,” Trump said, of the unnamed woman. “And I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, ‘I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.’”

“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married,” Trump said. “Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”

At that point in the audio, Trump and Bush apparently notice Arianne Zucker, the actress who is waiting to escort them into a soap-opera set.

“Your girl’s hot as s***, in the purple,” Bush said.

“Whoa!” Trump said. “Whoa!”

Bush on Friday apologized for the comments. An “Access Hollywood” spokesman declined to comment to The Washington Post.

Trump released a statement:

“This was locker-room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course — not even close,” Trump said in a statement. “I apologize if anyone was offended.”

**Previously, Gephardt Daily identified the pageant as the Miss America pageant. Mr. Trump has no affiliation with the Miss America pageant. We regret the error.

  1. What!? A rich man tried to get slutty women to have sex with him. Oh my god! Say it isn’t true. Give us a break already. This is far down on the list of Trump foibles. The media just handed him a guided missile with Bill Clinton’s name on it.
