May 12, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah, one of the Senate’s most senior Republicans, on Thursday endorsed Donald Trump for president after meeting with the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.
Multiple outlets report Hatch told reporters, “I totally endorse him,” after he and other Senate Republican leaders met with Trump.
Hatch originally endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for the White House and then Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) after Bush ended his campaign.
