UTAH COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 10, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A man from Vineyard has been arrested after his wife reported that he sexually assaulted her, officials said Thursday.

Zhejun “Duke” Wang, 33, was booked into the Utah County Jail on one count of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse and one count of class B misdemeanor assault-domestic violence, said Utah County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Spencer Cannon in a news release. Wang’s bail has been set at $10,000 cash only.

Deputies responded to a 911 call at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from a woman in Vineyard, about 4.5 miles west of Orem, who reported that her husband had sexually assaulted her, the news release said.

When deputies arrived the husband was not home.

“The woman told them that the previous night her husband injured her when he held her by the wrist, pulled her into a bedroom, removed her underclothes, and sexually assaulted her,” the news release said.

“The victim told deputies that the following morning, she was in the kitchen when her husband approached her and forcibly pulled her shirt down, exposing her breasts. She said her husband then bit her on one of her breasts.”

The victim underwent a forensic examination and evidence was found to support her allegation that her husband held her by the wrist the previous night and that he bit her on a breast that morning.

Detectives contacted Wang near his place of work and interviewed him. He admitted to behavior consistent with events described by the victim.

Agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have also placed Wang on a hold order.
