Update: West Valley City motorcyclist who died in Weber County crash identified

WEBER COUNTY, Utah, June 19, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A man who died Saturday afternoon when a panel truck turned in front of his motorcycle in West Haven has been identified.

Scott Robinson, 49, of West Valley City, died as a result of injuries sustained from the crash on Saturday near 800 W. 2100 South, the Weber County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Monday.

The accident is still under investigation and any possible charges are pending the outcome of the investigation, the news release said.

The man was traveling eastbound with a small group of motorcyclists when the crash occurred at 2:46 p.m., officials said. Two of the riders laid down their bikes, and Robinson died in the crash, while another male rider was transported to the hospital. His condition has not been made public.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
