UINTAH, Utah, March 5, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Detectives in Weber County are asking for possible victims of a man who allegedly committed multiple sexual assaults to come forward.

Weber County Sherriff Lt. Lane Findlay said Ryan Meloni, 20, was arrested on Jan. 30 on charges of assault, rape and forcible sodomy, stemming from an alleged incident involving a teen who had attended at a party in Davis County.

Officers say the incident started when the 16-year-old girl and a friend left the party in Davis County with the suspect and went to another party in Ogden where drugs and alcohol were present.

When the party was over, officers say the suspect took the girl to her house in Uintah, then left with her friend. Findley said an altercation ensued between the two because the suspect had been drinking and the passenger did not want him driving.

The suspect reportedly pulled over to the side of the road, forcibly removed the girl from the car, physically assaulted her, then left her on side of the road.

Officers say the suspect later returned to the residence in Uintah and forced his way inside the home. He sexually assaulted the girl, who was extremely impaired. The girl’s parents discovered the suspect in their daughter’s bedroom and called the police.

Meloni was arrested and taken to the Weber County Jail and has been charged with multiple offenses.

After Meloni’s arrest, Findley said detectives were contacted by another female who said she had been sexually assaulted by Meloni in 2015. She said Meloni handcuffed her, raped her and sodomized her.

Investigators believe Meloni may be a sexual predator, and they are concerned there may be other individuals out there who have been victims.

Officers are asking people who know or suspect they have been victims of Meloni’s sexual violence to contact their local police department, or to call the Weber County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau at 801-778-6631.
