Weber County sheriff’s deputy arrested on sexual misconduct charges

WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Weber County corrections officer has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual misconduct.

According to a press release from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, Corporal Jeremy Miller was arrested and charged with multiple counts of custodial sexual misconduct, “the result of an internal investigation which began in Nov. 2018.”

Miller was placed on administrative leave Dec. 10, 2018 and the case has been referred to the Weber County Attorneys Office for the criminal investigation.

Miller was booked into the Box Elder County Jail “due to conflict of interests with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office,” the press release said.

“The internal investigation is ongoing; no further details will be released at this time.”
