Weber High School evacuated after students become ill

PLEASANT VIEW, Utah, Sept. 17, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Classes were cancelled at Weber High in Pleasant View Monday morning after students became ill.

A tweet from the Weber School District said the building atĀ 430 Weber High DriveĀ has been evacuated, and the fire department is on scene.

“There have been reports of an unknown odor,” a follow-up tweet from the District said. “All students have been evacuated and the school has been closed for the remainder of the day. The cause of the odor is currently being investigated. No students will be allowed back inside the building today.”

Initial reports from the scene indicate there may be a gas leak at or near the school.
