Wendover K-9 discovers ‘several pounds of controlled substance’ in vehicle

WENDOVER, Utah, May 9, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Wendover K-9 located “several pounds of a controlled substance” inside a vehicle Sunday night, officials said.

“The Wendover Police Department conducted an investigation of illegal narcotics on a traffic stop on I-80 and Aria Boulevard in Wendover, Utah, on Sunday at 8 p.m.,” said a news release on Facebook.

Wendover Police utilized K-9 Maverick and discovered several pounds of a controlled substance inside the vehicle, the news release said.

Wendover Police arrested an 18-year-old West Jordan man, identified as Keith Williams; a 19-year-old Murray man, identified as Abdullahi Ado; and a 19-year-old West Valley City man, identified as Tristan Madsen, for possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute. All three men were booked into the Tooele County Jail.
