The full statement:

“With sadness, we share the news of the passing of Wendy Nelson Maxfield, a daughter of President Russell M. Nelson and Dantzel White Nelson.

“Wendy died peacefully at her home Friday afternoon, Jan. 11, 2019, at age 67 after a courageous battle with cancer. Sister Maxfield is married to Norman Maxfield, and they are the parents of seven children and 20 grandchildren.

“We express our love to the entire Nelson and Maxfield family as they remember her life and mourn her passing.”
