WEST HAVEN, Utah, May 24, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Multiple fire agencies responded to a West Haven structure fire Sunday afternoon, gaining control of blaze, which did an estimated $250,000 in damages to the property.
The homeowners had been out, and returned at about 12:30 p.m. to an area south of 2100 South to discover heavy smoke on the main level of the residence, and coming out of the garage.
“Weber Fire District, along with automatic aid partners Riverdale City Fire, Ogden City Fire, Hill Air Force Base Fire, and the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, were dispatched to a structure fire,” the Weber Fire statement says.
“Firefighters initiated a coordinated fire attack while conducting a 360, a primary search, and began ventilation to improve low-visibility conditions. Crews worked together to gain fire control which was obtained quickly.
“Fortunately, the homeowners remained safely outside, and there were no reported human injuries. Unfortunately, some pets were transported to a local veterinarian for care.”

The scene was turned over to the Weber Fire District Fire Marshal’s Office for investigation.
“The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen, causing significant damage throughout the structure. Initial estimated damages are approximately $250,000. There was also smoke damage to an adjoining unit. The investigation remains ongoing.”
