WEST JORDAN, Utah, May 31, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — An adult and a juvenile were taken to the hospital Thursday evening after a truck veered off a West Jordan road and smashed into a gas station sign.

West Jordan Police Department Sgt. Burdette Shumway told Gephardt Daily the truck was traveling southbound on State Route 111 at 8200 South just after 8 p.m. when the truck jumped the curb.

A 15-year-old and a 65-year-old who were passengers in the truck suffered minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals, Shumway said. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Shumway said it appears the crash may have been due to drowsy driving.
