WEST JORDAN, Utah, June 10, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — West Jordan police were searching for a woman who allegedly keyed a car in a Smith’s parking lot after an altercation last month.

On Tuesday, a WJPD post on Facebook said they have identified the woman and she has admitted to the crime. Detectives are “working with her to bring resolution to this case.”

They did not release the woman’s name.

A Facebook post from WJPD on Monday said the incident occurred on the evening of May 1 at the Smith’s at 7061 S. Redwood Road.

“The woman pictured got upset with another patron in the parking lot,” the post said. “When the patron walked into the store, she decided it would be a good idea to key his car.”

In surveillance photos, the woman is wearing a gray hoodie with the hood pulled up, blue jeans and navy blue sneakers.

The vehicle she drove away in is a believed to be a 1999-2004 dark Jeep Grand Cherokee with a roof rack.

“We need to identify her… and yes we know the surveillance pictures are not great,” the post said.
