West Jordan police take suspect into custody after man flees from stolen vehicle

WEST JORDAN, Utah, March 4, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — West Jordan police have a suspect in custody after the department posted on social media that the public should be on high alert after he fled on foot from an allegedly stolen vehicle Monday morning.

“We have an incident going on in the neighborhood of 5200 West 9300 South,” West Jordan Police tweeted at 10 a.m. “We had a suspect flee that was driving a stolen vehicle. He is now on foot and wearing red/green colored camo pants. He is a tall male with long black hair and was wearing a backpack.”

Just 15 minutes later, a follow-up tweet said: “Just received word that we believe we have the alleged suspect in custody. Officers will begin clearing from the area.”
