Suspected gang members shoot up West Jordan neighborhood

WEST JORDAN, Utah, March 18, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating after shots were fired between two vehicles in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident took place in the area of 5570 W. Shadberry Circle (6800 South) in West Jordan at approximately 12:10 a.m., West Jordan Police spokesman Lt. James Bigelow told Gephardt Daily.

There was an altercation between at least two people in two different vehicles, and at some point more than a dozen shots were exchanged, Bigelow added.

Three different vehicles and three different houses in the neighborhood were hit by gunfire but no one was injured as far as officials can tell.

The incident is being investigated as gang related.

It’s not known why the two vehicles were in that area to begin with.
