West Jordan police searching for suspect who drove into homeowner’s garage, stole tools

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Jan. 22, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in West Jordan are searching for a suspect caught on a security camera driving into a homeowner’s open garage and helping herself to a “large amount” of tools before driving away.

The incident occurred last week in the area of 6500 W. 7500 South, WJPD said in a news release on Facebook.

“She simply drove into this homeowner’s open garage and helped herself to a large amount of tools,” the news release said. “She loads items for around two minutes and then drives off.”

The suspect was driving a newer-style Hyundai, police said, and was wearing sunglasses, a gray hoodie with a distinctive pattern on the back, a pink T-shirt and torn jeans.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information on the incident is asked to call WJPD Detective John Lorence at 801-256-2140.
