WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, March 18, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A West Valley City man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly beat his neighbor with a golf club.

A probable cause statement from the 3rd District Court of Salt Lake County said Nathaniel Michael Finch, 30, is facing a charge of second-degree felony aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury. Finch was transported to Salt Lake County Jail, where he is being held without bail.

The probable cause statement said Finch went to his neighbor’s home with a golf club, “hit the door with the club, then got into an altercation on the front porch.”

The suspect then hit the neighbor, who was unarmed, several times with the golf club, the probable cause statement said, causing a broken arm, a broken nose and “a great deal of injury to the left eye and head.”
