West Valley City police investigate shots fired in mobile home park

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Oct. 15, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — West Valley City police responded to a report of shots fired Monday night at Mountain View Mobile Home Park.

The incident at the mobile home park, at 2771 South and 2670 West, was called in at about 9:30 p.m., WVCPD Lt. Shane Matheson said.

When officers arrived, they found shell casings in the road and damage to one of the homes.

“There were no injuries,” Matheson told Gephardt Daily. “And we have no suspect information right now. We are looking into whether it was gang-related.”

Matheson said anyone who may have seen a suspicious person or vehicle, or who has any information related to the incident, is asked to call West Valley City Police at 801-840-4000.
