West Valley police on scene of fatal stabbing at apartment building

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Oct. 24, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials responded to the scene of a fatal stabbing in West Valley City Thursday evening.

A tweet from West Valley City Police Department at 9:20 p.m. said: “We are on the scene of a stabbing at an apartment complex at 4000 S. Redwood Road. An adult male is deceased. Suspect(s) outstanding. Investigation and search for suspect(s) underway.”

The stabbing occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. inside the apartment building, officials said. The victim is thought to be in his 20s.

A complainant then called police and said a suspect or suspects may have shot at a truck in a Walgreens parking lot on Redwood Road after the stabbing, then gone to another apartment complex near the site of the stabbing. Officials are now searching that area.
