HILDALE, Utah, April 13, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 22-year-old woman is dead after she was caught in a four-vehicle crash Tuesday near Hildale.

Rachel Cawley, of Centennial Park, Arizona, died on the scene.

The accident started at milepost 3 of State Road 59, near the Utah-Arizona border.

A white Audi headed eastbound crossed into the westbound lane while trying to pass a white GMC pickup. The Audi clipped the back driver’s-side corner of the pickup, and spun into the path of a westbound black Infinity, driven by Cawley, hitting Cawley’s vehicle nearly head on.

Traveling behind Cawley’s car was a Chrysler minivan, which steered left in an attempt to avoid the white Audi, but the two collided.

Cawley was the only fatality.

Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
