MURRAY, Utah, Nov. 19, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were killed in a Murray house fire Monday morning.
Firefighters from the Unified Fire Authority confirm two victims — a woman and a 7-year-old girl — were discovered inside the home near 5700 South 700 West about 9 a.m. approximately 90 minutes after the original call came into 911 dispatchers.
When firefighters arrived they found the house was engulfed in smoke and flames.
A woman outside the residence told firefighters, two people, including her daughter, were still inside the house.
Multiple explosions kept crews at a distance until they could knock down the flames. They were also hampered by a maze of property inside the home.
The victims — whose identities have yet to be released — were found on the second story.
The cause of the blaze has yet to be determined.
Gephardt Daily has a crew on the scene and will update the story as more information becomes available.
Sorry but Murray Fire Department confirmed the deceased not Unified Fire Authority. Talk to the first department on scene for information not second arrivals.
So very sad.
