MURRAY, Utah, May 30, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) -- A woman was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition Thursday night after three vehicles collided near 4800 South 500 West.

Taylorsville Police Sgt. Jake Hill told Gephardt Daily the crash happened before 10 p.m. when the woman fled from an attempted traffic stop.

According to Hill, police did not pursue the woman, although officers may have tried to spike her tires as she attempted to evade arrest.

A 60-year-old woman who was in another vehicle was also injured in the crash. She, too, was transported to the hospital. Her injuries were not considered life threatening.

A teenageer who was in the third vehicle was slightly injured, according to Hill, but was able to get the hospital on their own.

It was expected to take several hours before the crash site would be cleared.

Hill said because Taylorsville police initiated the traffic stop the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office would take over the investigation.
