SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 6, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night on State Street.
The accident happened a little after 9 p.m. at 1785 S. State St., said SLCPD Watch Commander Victor Siebeneck.
He said it was already dark out, and although the street is lighted, the woman wasn’t in a crosswalk and didn’t have the right of way. She was crossing State Street when she was hit by a northbound vehicle.
Police do not believe the driver was distracted or impaired, and speed didn’t seem to be a factor in the accident.
