TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Nov. 3, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A female driver was killed and her two passengers were transported to an area hospital late Saturday night after their pickup truck left Redwood Road and struck a cemetery wall.

“At 4567 S. Redwood Road, the driver lost control, and struck a wall that’s on the south end of the Taylorsville Cemetery,” Sgt. Keller, Taylorsville Police, told Gephardt Daily early Sunday morning.

“The driver died as a result of the accident,” he said.

Keller said early Sunday that one passenger was ejected and transferred to the hospital, Taylorsville police later clarified two passengers, a man and a woman, were ejected and transported for treatment of injuries.

Because the vehicle came to rest several yards from the roadway, traffic was only partially impacted, with one lane remaining open, Keller added.

The cause of the crash, which happened about 11:49 p.m., is under investigation.

Gephardt Daily will have additional information as it becomes available.
