WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 21, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A 32-year-old woman was killed in a rollover crash Tuesday afternoon in the area of 4400 West and 1150 South.

Weber County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Jensen said dispatchers received a call at 3:40 p.m. reporting a hit-and-run accident in which one vehicle rear-ended another at 1900 West and 12th Street.

The fatal rollover happened just a few minutes later farther west, just off 12th Street, Jensen said, and investigators believe the incidents are related.

Jensen said the woman was a passenger in the car.  She and the 33-year-old male driver were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated.

The driver was transported by helicopter to a local hospital in critical condition. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Jensen said investigators were on scene for several hours and are looking at alcohol as a possible factor in the fatal accident.

Jensen said the woman is from West Weber, but no names are being released at this time pending notification of family members.
