Woman injured in ‘drowsy driving’ accident in West Jordan

WEST JORDAN, Sept. 9, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was transported to an area hospital Sunday morning after she left the roadway and drove into the vinyl fence of a West Jordan residence, hitting a tree.

The accident happened at 5:43 a.m. at 3090 W. 9000 South. The woman was alone in her car.

“It was fairly serious,” Sgt. Dan Roberts, West Jordan Police Department, told Gephardt Daily. “She said she fell asleep.”

The woman’s current condition is unknown, as is the cost of the damage done, Roberts said.
