Woman fatally injured in Roy City crash

ROY, Utah, Nov. 21, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Roy are investigating a collision that killed an elderly woman Thursday afternoon.

According to Roy City Police, the accident happened about 3:35 p.m. when the driver of a southbound vehicle on Midland Drive tried to make a left turn onto 3100 West and turned in front of a northbound vehicle.

“The northbound vehicle, occupied by two individuals, collided with the vehicle turning left,” the RCPD news release says.

“The passenger in the northbound vehicle, identified as an elderly female, sustained critical injuries.”

“The female was transported by Roy City Fire and medical, and was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.”

The single occupant of the southbound vehicle was treated for minor injuries and released. This incident is still under investigation, the RCPD release says.
