Woman in serious condition after auto-pedestrian crash in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 15, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was transported to an area hospital in serious condition after an auto-pedestrian crash in Salt Lake City early Friday morning.

A statement from the Salt Lake City Fire Department said the incident took place in the area of 400 S. West Temple just before 6:30 a.m.

The victim, a 64-year-old female, attempted to cross 400 South against the light and was struck by a vehicle heading westbound, the news release said.

That vehicle was then rear ended by another vehicle.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

The two vehicles stayed on scene and the drivers are cooperating with authorities.
