PARK CITY, Utah, Dec. 31, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman is in serious condition after a head-on crash in Snyderville on Monday morning.

A news release from the Utah Highway Patrol said a gray 1990 Jeep Cherokee was traveling northbound on SR-224 at its intersection with Ute Boulevard, in the left turn lane, at approximately 7:20 a.m.

A 2013 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling southbound in lane one at the intersection, the news release said. The Jeep made a left turn in front of the Subaru, and the two vehicles collided head-on in the intersection.

The female driver of the Subaru was transported an area hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. All the other occupants of both vehicles signed medical releases on the scene, the news release said.

Only one lane each direction on SR-224 in the area remained open during the investigation, which heavily impacted the traffic to the ski resorts in the Park City area, officials said. Traffic was impacted and delayed in the area for about 45 minutes while the scene was investigated and cleaned up.
