Woman’s Body Found in Car in Quail Creek Reservoir Identified
HURRICANE, UTAH – May 19, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews discovered a woman’s body inside a car in Quail Creek Reservoir near Hurricane last night.

The driver of the fatal vehicle crash at Quail Lake has been identified by police officers as Sherry L. Cowger, 58, of Hurricane.
From the investigation police have not been able to determine why the vehicle she was operating left the roadway. It was found that she was traveling south on 5300 West (SR 318) and left the roadway to the left and went off the embankment and rolled down the hill, landing in the water. She was driving a 2004 Red Ford Focus. Authorities said the car was on its hood about 100 feet from the shore.
Cowger’s body has been transported the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
