WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, July 30, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — West Valley police said a dog that was allegedly stolen from a Cafe Rio earlier this month has been returned to its owner.

Cha Cha the Chihuahua was taken from the Cafe Rio restaurant on Constitution Boulevard, said a Facebook post from West Valley City Police Department.

The suspect was with two other women, and with two small children, it was reported.

An update from WVCPD Tuesday afternoon said: “Cha Cha the Chihuahua has been returned. A person associated with those who took the dog helped facilitate the return. There may have been confusion about whether the dog was attended. We’re sorting through details, but are happy to report that Cha Cha is safely home with her owner.”
