KHARKIV, Ukraine, Oct. 18, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Five people are dead after a vehicle plowed into a crowd on a sidewalk in the city of Kharkiv in the Ukraine Wednesday, police said.
Six others were injured in the crash, a statement from the Interior Ministry on Facebook said.
The statement says the driver has been detained and is being investigated for traffic safety violations. At this point officials have not said the incident was terror-related.
Kharkiv, which is in the northeast part of the country, is the second-largest city in Ukraine.
