SACRAMENTO, California, June 26, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) At least six people have been reported stabbed at a white supremacist rally outside the state capitol building in Sacramento, California.

The Sacramento Fire Department confirmed it is treating multiple stabbing victims on scene and that some of the wounded are in critical condition.

The violence broke out around noon Sunday when the white supremacist demonstrators were confronted by counter-demonstrators.

The rally was being staged by the Traditionalist Workers Party – which has been designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Law enforcement officers say the group had a legal permit for the rally, while the counter-protesters did not.

The state capitol building went on lockdown as the violence erupted with no one being allowed to enter or exit the facility.
