Nov. 20 (UPI) — Authorities were searching Monday for a 27-year-old Alabama inmate who made his second jailbreak in less than a month.

Shane Anthony Vernon escaped from the Coosa County Jail in Rockford, Ala., about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, where he was being held on felony charges.

“Vernon physically circumvented the security of the jail and escaped the facility,” Coosa County Sheriff Terry Wilson said.

Vernon was last seen in the northern wooded area of Elmore County near County Road 80, and authorities believe he stoles an electric dirt bike.

Vernon has several tattoos, including “ride or die” on his fist, writing on his forearm, a Chinese symbol on the right side of his neck and “county” on his left shoulder blade.

He first escaped the jail Oct. 29 during the booking process. Vernon removed his restraints and ran way. He was recaptured early the next morning.
