Breaking: At least 4 killed, 6 wounded in Fresno, Calif., shooting

FRESNO, California, Nov. 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — It’s being reported that multiple people have been shot at a home in Fresno during a gathering of family and friends watching a football game Sunday evening.

The Fresno Bee said that, according to police, at least four people were killed and six others were wounded by “unknown suspects” who are still at large.

The mass shooting took place just before 8 p.m. (local time) in the backyard of the home, on the 5300 block of East Lamona Avenue.

The neighborhood has been cordoned off and roads are closed to traffic.

Fresno Police Lt. Bill Dooley was quoted as saying, “What we do know is that this was a gathering, a family and friend gathering in the backyard. Everyone was watching football this evening when unknown suspects approached the residence, snuck into the backyard and opened fire.”

ABCNews reported that the victims found in the backyard were between the ages of 25 and 30. No children were injured in the shooting, police said.

According to ABCNews, police said five people were taken to the hospital with non-life- threatening injuries, and another person suffered a bullet graze wound.
