BIBURY, England, Dec. 27 (UPI) — A traditional British “duck race,” which uses fake ducks instead of real birds, drew thousands of people to an English village.

The annual Boxing Day Duck Race in Bibury, England, drew thousands of spectators, many of whom “sponsored” one of 150 decoy ducks sent floating down the River Coln.

The sponsor of the winning duck was given the honor of choosing the charity to receive money raised by the event.

The second race featured yellow rubber ducks floating down the river with prizes offered to the sponsors of the first 20 finishers — and the last place duck.
